Sustainable Donation Initiatives For Eco Schools by MM Century

Sungai Buloh, 27 February 2024 – MM Century recently collaborated with the Green Growth Asia Foundation, fulfilling our work towards e-waste sustainability, being eco-friendly, and investing in a sustainable future.

Through the Green Growth Asia Foundation, MM Century has contributed two laptops for the STEM club SK Kuak Luar. These donations align with our effort to reduce waste by reusing materials, mainly under the sustainability initiative. It is how we continuously manage e-waste sustainably, working tirelessly towards “Zero Waste” and contributing to society in our persistent mission of saving the Earth. Thanks to Bigwise Resources for helping MM Century refurbish these IT assets. Refurbishment means restoring used items, making them better equipped, and extending their lifecycle.

The STEM club SK Kuak is a society club emphasising innovation and creativity among young minds. They promote robotic education in science and technology that is in sync with the development plan of Malaysian education and encourage students, lecturers, and teachers to use reusable items. Students of SK Kuak Luar can practice these routines daily, making it a habit that will positively impact the recycling economy. Via this course, there will be an IT-savvy generation that can be resourceful to the STEM club now and in the years ahead.

Looking ahead, the STEM club encourages students to build robots using reusable items, and individuals will not waste but learn to save costs. This awareness will enable the students to be more creative, innovative, highly skilled, knowledgeable, competitive, and truly dynamic in the science and technology industry with excellent growth while prioritising being environment conscious.

Other donations include seven units of tables for SMK Changkat and several bags for SK Pos Kemar GPK Koku. The response has been heartwarming. We have provided the essentials and support to the teachers in need, especially SMK Changkat, as they experienced a lack of resources for months and were utilising students’ tables for lecturers and teacher assistants. We are delighted to be part of the sustainable journey whilst improving education.

In conclusion, our recent donations to Eco-Schools have been instrumental in promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness among students, educators, and the public. By refurbishing IT assets and providing essential items such as tables, laptops, and bags, we have made a tangible impact on the recipients’ daily lives. Our community’s support and inspiring collaboration with Green Growth Asia Foundation and Bigwise have been crucial in our sustainability efforts, thus creating a circular economy.

Our team is thankful for the opportunity to make a lasting difference and very grateful for the continued support of our community toward a zero-waste and safer environment. We are committed to increasing our initiatives by empowering children, youth, and senior citizens to contribute to a brighter, more eco-conscious future. We look forward to further collaborations and partnerships in pursuing a sustainable tomorrow.
