On November 19 and 20, 2024, MM Century was honoured to exhibit at CelcomDigi’s SafetyPLUS Day, an event that highlights CelcomDigi’s dedication to workplace safety, health, and sustainability. The event was a unique opportunity for businesses and stakeholders to come together, share insights, and explore solutions that make workplaces safer and healthier.

As an e-waste management provider and a vendor of CelcomDigi, our team showcased critical IT asset components that often contribute to electronic waste, such as motherboards, hard drives, memory modules (RAM), processors, and circuit boards. If improperly handled, these components can release harmful substances like heavy metals and toxic chemicals into the environment, posing risks to human health and ecosystems. 

At the event, we spoke to various CelcomDigi vendors and participating attendees about the importance of sustainable disposal practices, drawing attention to the role of responsible e-waste management in protecting the planet.

MM Century’s booth was a hub of activity, featuring engaging Q&A sessions and interactive games that allowed attendees to test their knowledge about e-waste management. Through these activities, we educated participants and built connections and increased awareness about the importance of responsibly recycling IT assets.

Beyond the booths, CelcomDigi’s SafetyPLUS Day highlighted the importance of psychological well-being with a Fireside Chat led by Sue Ann Lim, CelcomDigi’s Head of Occupational Safety and Health, Supply Chain Management, and Well-being. The event also featured a talk by Hetal Doshi, CEO and Organisational Psychologist from O Psych, who spoke on mental health and its impact on workplace productivity. These discussions emphasised CelcomDigi’s holistic approach to safety, extending beyond physical measures to foster mental well-being.

The day also marked a significant milestone for CelcomDigi, as they became the first company in Malaysia to receive the ISO 45003: Psychological Health and Safety at Work certification from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). This achievement further cements CelcomDigi’s leadership in setting industry standards for workplace health and safety.
