ESG Materiality & Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory 2024 Summary
At MM Century, sustainability is not just part of our mission. It is embedded in the way we lead. With that principle in mind, we are proud to share the completion of our ESG Materiality Assessment and the publication of our inaugural 2024 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory, in alignment with ISO 14064-1 standards.
These milestones reflect our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement as we drive impactful environmental solutions across industries.
Understanding What Matters Most: ESG Materiality Assessment
Our 2024 ESG Materiality Assessment engaged a broad range of stakeholders. From regulators and clients to internal teams and vendors, to identify the sustainability topics that matter most to our business and the communities we serve.
Key Material Topics:
- Business Resilience & Financial Performance
- Circular Economy & Waste Reduction
- Employee Well-being & Occupational Health & Safety
- Supply Chain Transparency & Risk Management
- Climate Change & Carbon Strategy
These insights are shaping how we embed ESG into every layer of our operations, governance, and reporting.
Stakeholder Insights:
- Regulators emphasise rigorous GHG transparency and environmental compliance.
- Clients seek safe, ethical, and sustainable waste solutions.
- Vendors highlight the importance of ethical sourcing and procurement transparency.
Strategic Actions:
- Implement measurable ESG targets aligned with industry standards.
- Enhance board governance with diverse, independent oversight.
- Develop digital ESG dashboards for real-time performance monitoring.
- Engage stakeholders regularly to ensure ongoing alignment with evolving ESG standards

Our First GHG Inventory: Setting a Baseline for Real Impact
In our journey toward carbon accountability, we’ve completed our first GHG Inventory, establishing a clear emissions baseline:
| Scope | Description | Total Emissions (tCO₂e) |
| Scope 1 | Direct emissions from owned vehicles & operations | 315.55 |
| Scope 2 | Indirect emissions from purchased electricity | 54.33 |
- Total Inventory Uncertainty: ±7.4% (rated “Good”)
- Methodology: Activity data × official emission factors (ISO 14064-1 aligned)
This step not only increases our transparency, but it also equips us to make smarter, data-driven decisions as we evolve our climate strategy.
Volume-Based Allocation Initiative:
To improve emissions granularity, MM Century plans to adopt a volume ratio-based approach to estimate carbon footprints by specific waste streams. This will enable more precise tracking, supplier engagement, and targeted reduction initiatives.
Our Commitment & Next Steps
- Continuous enhancement of data quality and emissions measurement, including integrating Scope 3 supplier emissions.
- Setting ambitious, science-aligned GHG reduction targets with clear milestones.
- Driving energy efficiency, circular economy principles, and climate resilience across operations.
- Transparent stakeholder reporting and regular materiality reassessment to stay ahead of evolving ESG expectations.
